About the Artist
Amy is a digital illustrator and traditional artist in Stafford, Virginia. She graduated with a BFA in Communication Arts from VCU. She loves to explore themes of fantasy, consciousness, and the sometimes murky line between life and death. Amy has never met an artistic medium that she didn’t love, but her favorites are oils, chalk pastels, charcoal, and graphite.
Amy is also a graphic designer with 8 years of experience. She is skilled in designing logos, building memorable and cohesive brand packages, designing user-friendly and visually impressive websites, as well as creating business cards, posters, pamphlets, and other print materials.
Amy has spent 15 years teaching a variety of students, aged from 4 to 63, a multitude of fine art skills. Her classes have ranged from 1 to 15 students at a time, with classes anywhere between 1 to 3 hours, depending on students’ preference. She has taught oil painting, technical drawing, chalk pastels, and color theory, as well as the basics that any artist would need to know.
